Drs. Nate and Shannon McKee are fully dedicated to serve the Davison community and the greater Genesee County. At McKee Chiropractic Unlimited patients will have the opportunity to meet and be cared for by both doctors. Drs. Nate and Shannon bring together a mix of both Eastern and Western medicine with their training in chiropractic and Shannon's training in acupuncture. This combination allows patients to receive the quality of healthcare they need and deserve!
Dr. Shannon McKee, DC, Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM), RAc (MI)
Dr. Shannon grew up right here in Davison, MI. She is a 2006 graduate of Davison High School. Dr. Shannon started her undergraduate process at Mott Community College earning her credits towards her Bachelor's of Science degree, which she received from the University of Michigan, Flint. She then moved to the Windy City, where she started the Doctor of Chiropractic program at National University of Health Sciences.
Upon graduating with her DC degree in 2014, Dr. Shannon was not done learning. She then went on to receive her Master's of Science in Acupuncture from National University of Health Sciences, as well.
During Dr. Shannon's time at National, she worked as the Clinical Sciences Fellow for 3 years. She was considered a student amongst the teachers, as she worked closely with faculty. She often assited teaching and instructing courses. Also, she was an active member in the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA), and went to Washington, D.C. to lobby for patient rights to chiropractic.
Dr. Shannon has progressed her Acupuncture knowledge by getting certified in Cosmetic and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. With this certification, it allows her to help people keep a young, healthy looking face in a natural way. Also, Dr. Shannon enjoys treating conditions such as but not limited to: infertility, stress, anxiety, women's health, headaches, digestive issues, insomnia, and chronic pain.
Dr. Nate McKee, DC, CCSP®
Dr. Nate McKee grew up in Fort Wayne, IN. He was first introduced to the great state of Michigan, when he attended Albion College. At Albion College, Dr. Nate received his Bachelor's in Exercise Sciences. He then went onto National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL where he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic.
While at National, he was actively involved in the Student American Chiropractic Association, and was President. During that involvement he lobbied in Washington, D.C. for rights and access for chiropractic patients such as: Veteran's access, underserved areas, Tricare, etc. Dr. Nate was also a school tutor for Head & Neck and Thoracic Evaluation, Management, and Manipulation courses for two years. During his clinical experience, Dr. Nate did a 2 month rotation at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.
Dr. Nate has furthered his education and received a certification in Cox Decompression and Manipulation Technic. His education in Cox Technic allows him to treat various conditions of the neck, back, and knees such as but not limited to: disc herniations, spinal stenosis, post surgical pain, back pain related to pregnancy, headaches, and meniscal pain of the knee.
Dr. Nate is also a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®), which has equipped him with the training to treat and prevent sports injuries and to properly work with athletes.
